Carve Out The Cheekbones
Always start with the Empress Ritual. (You feel us?) This is one of the areas of the face that tends to see a BIG benefit from gua sha. Many people notice a sculpted cheek after 21 days of continuous gua sha.
— 1 — As the U Edge hugs the cheek bone, tilt the Pointed Tip inward stopping about every half an inch, for three to five pressure points to work the energy channel along the underside of the cheekbone. Breathe!
— 2 — Using both points, press them in gently (it should feel good). Breathe and release.
— 3 — Smooth it out by swiping the Short Edge underneath the cheekbone.
We store so much tension in the face. Under the cheekbone and above the jaw is a space that does a lot of emoting and yet doesn’t get much relief. Release stored tension and feel the lift!

One of the most common gua sha mistakes is all about holding the stone. Many people hold it at a 90-degree angle to the skin, which can cause issues and won’t yield the best results. Unless otherwise specified, it should be at about a 15-degree angle so more surface area of the stone makes contact with the skin.
