“Real hot girl sh*t!” To quote our queen Megan Thee Stallion, it’s time for the body ody ody ody. Aura Oil is absolutely necessary for body gua sha, and it’s the product that affects real change in our body gua sha ritual. This body oil is different from the rest. It was formulated by an herbalist, an acupuncturist, and a gua sha and lymphatic drainage expert (our founding team) to enhance the results of body gua sha. It not only provides slip like any oil, it also gives you the chance to get better results in less time while giving your body the love it deserves. Learn more about the ingredients, how it’s made, and what’s so special about it below.

Essential Oil Free Skincare

We’ve said it before, and it remains the hill we’ll die on: essential oils are not good for all skin types! While they are touted as a natural alternative to conventional products, essential oils can actually be harmful to the skin. For people with sensitivity, they can wreak havoc on the skin’s barrier, leading to inflammation, breakouts, uneven texture, bumpy skin, rough patches, blackheads, and other common dermal ails. Unfortunately, this is not widely discussed in skin care forums (unless you go into some deep reddit threads) because they’ve become so normalized. One alternative is to choose products that are completely fragrance free. Another is to select formulas like ours, made with Whole Plant Infusions.

How It’s Made - Whole Plant Infusions

Whole Plant Infusions allow us to keep our products free from added essential oils. It’s a very special extraction process many herbalists use, during which whole plant ingredients are left to steep for weeks or months into water or oils. Similar to making tea, this is called an infusion! The oils or water is strained and the plant matter is composted. For a little extra magic, we add crystals to infuse their essence alongside the plants, or start infusions under the full moon. This level of attention to detail is certainly more time-intensive than conventional methods for making products, which is why we produce in small batches. But it’s also what makes our products so special!

Choosing Sustainably Made & Organic Skincare

Finding ingredients that are as natural as possible is important for the earth. We work directly with farmers to ensure that our ingredients are supporting local ecosystems as they grow. Our wild ingredients are harvested with utmost care. Depending on the plant, it’s important to leave part of it in the ground so it can continue to flourish. Another myth that’s true for both skincare and food: wild harvesting isn’t always better. It surprised us, too, when we first learned this! Some wild harvesters will overharvest, harming the natural ecosystem around it. We’re always in touch with harvesters and growers, to ensure our sourcing is as ecologically ethical as possible. All ingredients are certified USDA organic, and gathered at peak potency for the most efficacious skin care.

Wildling Aura Oil Ingredients + Benefits

We formulated this oil to be different from others on the market — its ingredients are designed to complement the gua sha process. Each serves a purpose, and none are “fillers” or added for scent (although our customers seem to love how it smells). It helps the skin do what it does best: detoxify, so the gua sha can help tighten and smooth any area you’re working on: arms, butt, belly, or legs. Our body gua sha ritual can not only plump the appearance of cellulite, but can also help release bound fascia and help reduce aches and pains. This process may result in bruising (and bruising isn’t a bad thing!) , but that can be alleviated with a lighter pressure.
