How To Do The Empress Ritual

First things first:
get to know your new tool.

 

Comb Edge
creates friction for “erasing” strokes, detoxifying strokes

Long Edge
drains lymph, great for long strokes on the neck and face

Pointed Tip
releases pressure points and tight areas

Short Edge
reaches under eye and other smaller, delicate areas

U Edge
hugs contours like cheekbone and brow bone

TUTORIAL

The Empress Ritual

The Empress Ritual is our foundational gua sha ritual. You will do this every day for 21 days. The following emails will teach tips and techniques designed to complement the Empress Ritual to boost the complexion and your well-being.

— 1 —
Apply the products. First, spray the Empress Tonic two to four times all over the face and neck. Follow with three to five drops of Empress Oil in your palms. Rub them together and press the oil into the face. Don’t forget the front and back of your neck.

— 2 —
Using the Comb Edge, pull upward next to the spine.

— 3 —
Do the same stroke on the side of the neck.

— 4 —
Continue the stroke from the collar bone up to the jaw bone in the front of the neck.

— 5 —
Move up the throat with the U Edge using a feather light touch.

— 6 —
Using the U Edge, contour the jaw bone while anchoring with the opposite hand.

— 7 —
Continue with the U Edge, gliding over the cheekbone while anchoring the skin with the opposite hand.

— 8 —
Hug the brow bone with the U Edge, pulling up and anchoring the skin with the opposite hand.

— 9 —
For the Big Lift, start at the jaw line with the Comb Edge and swipe upward, over the cheek, cheekbone, past the temple and into the hairline.

— 10 —
Continue the lifting stroke on the side of the forehead, outside of the brow. Move inward to the mid-brow and finally mid-forehead, starting between the brows.

— 11 —
Repeat each stroke two to three times. Repeat the entire sequence on the other side.
